HL8062

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The HL8062 is the IC for measuring the ECG signal. The preamplifier is built in as a differential input amplifier for preprocessing heart signal from input sensors. There are some amplifiers can be configured as low pass filter and band pass filter for ECG signal processing and suppress noise signal which produced with heart signal from input sensors. With build-in A/D converter, the analog heart signal is sampled, the sample time is 1ms. The A/D converter allows conversion of an analog input signal to an 11-bit binary representation of that signal. There is an internal digital processor which detects rise time of the ECG’s R wave to generate digital heartbeat signals.

OPERATION OF THE SYSTEM

The way of communication between the HL8062 and the MCU is through SPI.
There are two connection methods according to the working voltage of the HL8062 and the MCU.

If the MCU and the HL8062 have the same working voltage, the connection method is as below.

If the working voltage of the MCU is higher than working voltage of the HL8062, it needs a regulator to generate low voltage to the HL8062.

The MCU can only read the data of HL8062 when the READY pin is high.
