HL5916 (Pressure Key)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

HL5916 is an integrated circuit used to detect voltage variation of a sensor built in IC. The circuit can detect a very small voltage variation between two input pins of the sensor. The voltage variation can be as small as 0.25mv, and the offset voltage can be as large as 200mv. A voltage regulator is built to provide the power supply for the sensor to reduce the effect of the noise from power supply. Besides, there is a capacitive sensor circuit designed in the IC to enlarge the application field.

OPERATION OF THE SYSTEM

HL5916 is programmed for serial interface with micro-controller .The instruction data is transferred via a pair of serial data with latch clock input pins at the same time. Data is input from SDA and SCL pins.
Before the operation of the system, a high pulse (>20us) must be send to the MRST pin and parameters must be sent to IC.
